Sawa English is an English school for Arabic speakers, run by Sherif Abdelbaset. What we keepإيه اللي بنحفظه

Your account: your name and email address (from the sign-up form, or from Google if you sign in with Google). Your learning: the words and sentences you save (with the page or video they came from), your review cards and answers, your level and test results, writing you send to be checked, chat messages, study time, and a small "used today" mark for the app, Language Lens and the game.حسابك: اسمك وإيميلك (من فورم التسجيل، أو من جوجل لو دخلت بجوجل). تعلمك: الكلمات والجمل اللي بتحفظها (مع الصفحة أو الفيديو اللي جت منه)، كروت المراجعة وإجاباتك، مستواك ونتايج الاختبارات، الكتابة اللي بتبعتها للتصحيح، رسايل الشات، وقت المذاكرة، وعلامة صغيرة "استخدم النهارده" للتطبيق و Language Lens واللعبة.

Language LensLanguage Lens

Language Lens reads the page or YouTube captions on your own device to show meanings. It sends our server only the words and sentences you look up or save, and the text you ask it to explain or check. It does not send your browsing history. The only exception is the English YouTube videos you watch (see Your watch history below).Language Lens بتقرا الصفحة أو ترجمة يوتيوب على جهازك انت عشان تطلعلك المعاني. مش بتبعت لسيرفرنا غير الكلمات والجمل اللي بتدور عليها أو بتحفظها، والنص اللي بتطلب شرحه أو تصحيحه. مش بتبعت تاريخ التصفح بتاعك، غير فيديوهات اليوتيوب الإنجليزي اللي بتشوفها (شوف سجل مشاهداتك تحت).

Your watch historyسجل مشاهداتك

We save the English videos you watch with Sawa tracking so you can see your history. Only you can see them. You can delete your history any time.بنحفظ فيديوهات اليوتيوب الإنجليزي اللي بتشوفها مع تتبّع سوا، عشان تقدر ترجع لسجل مشاهداتك. انت بس اللي بتشوفه، ومحدش تاني. وتقدر تمسح السجل في أي وقت.

AI helpersمساعدين الذكاء الاصطناعي

To explain a word, translate a sentence or check your writing, we send that text (not your name or email) to an AI provider: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or Google (Gemini). They use it to give the answer.عشان نشرح كلمة أو نترجم جملة أو نصحح كتابتك، بنبعت النص ده بس (من غير اسمك أو إيميلك) لشركة ذكاء اصطناعي: Anthropic (Claude) أو OpenAI أو Google (Gemini). بيستخدموه عشان يطلعوا الإجابة.

Sign in with Googleالدخول بجوجل

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and profile ID, and use them only to make and open your Sawa English account. Sawa English's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.لو دخلت بجوجل، بيوصلنا اسمك وإيميلك ورقم حسابك عند جوجل بس، وبنستخدمهم بس عشان نعمل حسابك في سوا انجليش ونفتحه. استخدام سوا انجليش للمعلومات اللي جاية من Google APIs ملتزم بسياسة Google API Services User Data Policy، ومنها شروط Limited Use.

Who can see itمين يقدر يشوفها

Sherif and the Sawa English team, to teach you and to see what helps. Other students see only what you share in the community: your name, your posts and chat messages, and your place on the leaderboard. We never sell your data and we don't show ads.شريف وفريق سوا انجليش، عشان يعلموك ويعرفوا إيه اللي بيفيد. الطلبة التانيين بيشوفوا بس اللي بتشاركه في المجتمع: اسمك، بوستاتك ورسايلك، ومكانك في الترتيب. عمرنا ما بنبيع بياناتك ومفيش إعلانات.

Helping us improve our testsمساعدة تحسين اختباراتنا

To make our level tests and word lists more accurate, we use only your learning data: the words you mark, look up and review, and your test answers. It is counted as anonymous totals (for example, "62% of B1 learners know this word") and is never linked to your name, email, photo or profile. Groups smaller than 20 learners are never kept. We never share or sell it. You agree to this when you first open the app, and you can turn it off any time in Settings ("Help improve Sawa tests"). Turning it off stops new data from being counted from the next nightly update.عشان نخلّي اختبارات المستوى وقوائم الكلمات أدق، بنستخدم بيانات التعلّم بس: الكلمات اللي بتعلّم عليها وبتدوّر عليها وبتراجعها، وإجاباتك في الاختبارات. بتتحسب كأرقام مجمّعة من غير أسماء (مثلاً: 62٪ من طلاب B1 عارفين الكلمة دي)، وعمرها ما بتترِبط باسمك أو إيميلك أو صورتك أو بروفايلك. أي مجموعة أقل من 20 طالب مبنحتفظش بيها. عمرنا ما بنشاركها أو نبيعها. بتوافق على ده أول مرة تفتح التطبيق، وتقدر تقفله في أي وقت من الإعدادات ("ساعد في تحسين اختبارات سوا"). لما تقفله، بياناتك مبتتحسبش من التحديث الليلي اللي بعده.

Voice notes and chat correctionsالرسائل الصوتية وتصحيحات الشات

The public chat rooms (Community, your clan, town) are for English practice. When you send a voice note there, the audio is sent to an AI transcription service (OpenAI) for a few seconds so we can check which language you spoke. If it sounds like Arabic, the note is not posted and the audio file is deleted from our server; we keep only a counter. If the service is unavailable, the note is posted and checked again a few minutes later, and hidden if it turns out to be Arabic. If the check says the text is English, the written transcript is saved with your note so everyone can read it. We also check your English messages of four words or more, and mark mistakes with their corrections using an AI helper (Anthropic, Claude), without your name or email. You always see your own corrections. Other students see them only if you chose "Help others learn: show your corrections to the room" (asked once at your first public chat message, and changeable in Settings), and you can hide any single correction. Private groups are not checked for language. This sits next to the learning-data choice above; you can reach us through the Feedback button to ask about any of it.الغرف العامة في الشات (المجتمع، الكلان، البلد) للتمرن على الإنجليزي. لما تبعت رسالة صوتية هناك، الصوت بيتبعت لثواني لخدمة تفريغ صوت بالذكاء الاصطناعي (OpenAI) عشان نعرف أنت اتكلمت بأي لغة. لو بدت عربي، الرسالة مبتتنشرش وملف الصوت بيتمسح من سيرفرنا، وبنحتفظ بعدّاد بس. لو الخدمة مش شغالة، الرسالة بتتنشر وبتتفحص بعد دقايق، وبتتخفى لو طلعت عربي. ولو طلعت إنجليزي، النص المكتوب بيتحفظ مع رسالتك عشان الكل يقراه. كمان بنفحص رسايلك الإنجليزي من أربع كلمات فأكتر، ونعلّم الأخطاء مع تصحيحها بمساعد ذكاء اصطناعي (Anthropic, Claude) من غير اسمك أو إيميلك. انت دايمًا بتشوف تصحيحاتك. الطلبة التانيين بيشوفوها بس لو اخترت "ساعد الآخرين يتعلموا: اعرض تصحيحاتك للغرفة" (بتتسأل مرة واحدة عند أول رسالة عامة، وتقدر تغيرها من الإعدادات)، وتقدر تخفي أي تصحيح لوحده. المجموعات الخاصة مبتتفحصش لغويًا. ده جنب اختيار بيانات التعلّم اللي فوق، وتقدر تسألنا عن أي حاجة بزرار Feedback.
